Emperor Tetra - Nematobrycon palmeri Size: 4.5cm pH: 5.8-7.6 Temp: 24-30C Minimum Tank Size: 60L+ A great community tetra that thrives in planted aquariums. They are a typical schooling tetra so do best in groups of 5+. They originate from South America in soft acidic water, although will tolerate a wide range in the Aquarium trade. They eat a variety of food from flake to brine shrimp. They will readily breed in aquariums that are acidic, although care has to be taken to avoid the parents or other fish eating them. Great looking fish. I could imagine a school of these would look good in a big tank.
