Nice Global. These photos show why I don't care for Holey Rock in any of my tanks. It is a totally artificial looking rock. Kind of like dead white coral in a Marine tank of the late 60's. Not all of the rocks are randomly stacked. The second photo in your first post shows some layers of rock split and going back into the photo.

Yeah i love seeing pics of the lake. Generally i think people tend to use limstone etc. Because of its buffering properties.

I helped do a mates 12foot tank as a close as we could to a malawi scape as we could. Ill get some pics of it

Yeah i love seeing pics of the lake. Generally i think people tend to use limstone etc. Because of its buffering properties. That is true, but if you use a carbonate based substrate you will do the same thing. I use Seachem Lake Salts and Buffer.

Yeah i use buffing rift lake salts on my tanks on water changes. Yeah ill have to find some pics of his tank. Hes mainly just got videos. And cant upload videos on here yet. Something we will have to look into adding
