The Banded Angelfish, Apolemichthys arcuatus, is a unique angelfish with a large, long black stripe across a white body.
Other common names include the Banded Angelfish, Hawaiin Pearlyscale Angelfish, and the Three-Spine Angelfish.
The Banded Angelfish is found exclusively in Hawaii.
In the home aquarium environment, the Banded Angelfish needs a large amount of water to swim freely, while also needing a certain amount of rocks and crevices to hide in - a tank of 600ltr or larger is recommended.
The Banded Angelfish is not reef safe as it will often nip at soft corals, hard corals, and many sessile invertebrates.
