Buccochromis rhoadesii Common Name: Yellow Lepturus Cichlid Origin: Lake Malawi, Africa Diet: Accepts cichlid pellets, frozen blood worms, frozen plankton & krill, live black worms Size: 30cm+ (13 – 14 inches) Water Conditions: Lepturus can be kept in a temperature range of 24C-27C with a pH between 7.1 to 8.4. Sexing: Males are larger with a brilliant blue face. Females are yellow with horizontal line Breeding: Mouth brooder, with female carrying the fry. Need a large aquarium due to the aggressiveness of the male. Behavior: Lepturus are a large, open water Malawian cichlid that needs a large tank. This fish will likely be the dominant fish in your cichlid tank. They love to move gravel as they prepare their nesting site. Male is especially rough on females so remove the female immediately after she has laid her eggs. Attachments:

Did you own these Global? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a big colony before unless you’ve had them Spud?

Ive never kept them. Spud had them and breeding. Friend clayton who will join soon. Has about 20+ juvies growing out in his 12'×2'×2'. Im sure he will join in soon. His are getting bigger now and starting to colour up.

Has a crap load of Champsochromis caeruleus (malawi trout) growing out as well. And a big heap of Pseudotropheus Perspicax Orange Cap Ndumbi, in there too lol
