I have a blue turquoise discus that will refuse to eat anything except his Sera Discus staple pellets. I have tried him on brine shrimp, beef heart and bloodworms but he doesn’t show interest. I trust the quality of sera but would be good to vary his diet. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Id try the trick of adding other foods at the same time as the sara pellets. So he is great at going for them. He will accidently start eating the other foods. Eventually he will get use to the fact that these other foods are taste.

He has had multiple of the frozen foods in at once, even if there are NLS pellets and flakes in he will wait for the sera pellets 😂
I have even put in a shrimp feeding bowl for his pellets. He eats from the ground only.

Just got to keep at it.. I dont agree with trying to starve them to make them eat other foods. Ive seen fish get stubbon and just not eat at all. And then die. So just keep at it. Throw mixes in. What about crushing the sera pellets and add with other food?

I used to use liquid feeding attractants. One was called Entice, the other Garlic Guard. Both by Seachem. Just checked their site and both are still made. Link: www.seachem.com/appetite-health.php

I had an empty bottle of Seachem entice in my fish room actually. I wonder if I could substitute for fresh & powdered garlic?
I’ll update here on soaking his beef heart/discus mix cubes in a garlic mix and feed with the sera pellets nearby.
