Algae Reactors. Is used for excess nutrient export. I added one a month or so to my reef tank as i run out of room in my sump with all the big reactors and protein skimmer etc that are in there. So had no room for a conventional refugium to grow macro algaes. I purchased a algae reactor which i have plumbed of my return pump. Goes through my chiller then through the algae reactor and back into the tank. The use and ease of these are great. They run led lights through the senter of the reactor with water running from the bottom and out the top. 3x chambers. Add a small handfull of cheato in each chamber and it ready to go. Mine has a clear lid so you can see when its full. As easy as just undoing the top and removing all the grown cheato (macro algae) then just place a small amount in each chamber again. Attachments:
