Everyone! More of a test post but here is a photo of a couple of our Koi at the beginning of this year. We swear these ones are growing every minute! It’s not surprising to burn through a 5kg bag of feed in a couple months as we have close to 40 now 😂

How biggest length wise is your biggest one? And what one is your most valuable as in pattern wise. I know some koi can go for massive dollars.

Our most valuable would be a young beni kumonryu, it was from a local champion breeder and Lyndsie picked it out. It was a definite reluctant sale from the breeder and we were offered $100+ at the koi show by other people haha The beni kumonryu has a pattern which changes all its life depending on temperature and water conditions. Here the beni when smaller: Our largest I believe is around 50cm but I’m waiting to get a Japanese koi sock net to measure and minimize scale damage. This one will be a stunner, almost a camouflage pattern. Matsuba/Goshiki style pattern. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry a couple different fish in those pictures but I will catch out the Beni tomorrow and show you how it’s changed to now.
